Let It Snow

D noticed that something was different outside
yesterday, and enjoyed watching it snow for a bit.

Then we were stupid enough to make a choice to venture out into the
snow and go to the gym. D fell asleep on the way back, all bundled up. Hello, cheeks.

Hot Bod

I hadn't taken a picture of Dylan sans-clothes for awhile.
This is what "10 months, in all its glory" looks like.

Flu Shot

Dylan got a flu shot last Friday. I always think
his little thigh looks so cute with the bandaid on it.

Bouncing On The Knee

One of Dylan's new favorite things is bouncing on someone's knee:

Christmas Zit

His zit returned (or perhaps never left?). It appears in the exact same place on his chin. Christmas goodies are the culprit, this time. (Not! We're still solely devoted to sweet potatoes.)

Curious

Let's get a closer look at this scene, in action:

These Striped Green Pants...

...keep showing up with tops that don't necessarily match.

Gotta say it - Daddy dressed him on this day. (Above)

Actually, the jury's still out on whether this one matches
or not. Cast your vote to kimcaifano@gmail.com.

5 Year Anniversary

Marc and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary yesterday. We enjoyed a beautiful view and great dinner at the Signature Room at the top of the Hancock.

A Thanksgiving Commentary

The day began as most Thanksgivings did in my household growing up: with the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Suddenly, I realized that Dylan, too, was noticing and enjoying the parade. He was smitten by the big balloons and Sesame Street characters. D is in outfit #1 for the day: his PJ's.

Then we traveled to Papa and Nana's house, where we took pictures for our Christmas card. D is in outfit #2 for the day: his Christmas vest.

We were polite and greeted everyone as they arrived. D is in outfit #3 for the day: his Thanksgiving outfit.

Nana had a special place setting for Dylan, with his own personal placecard and Thanksgiving bib and balloon. The stage was set for the main event, which, for Dylan, was eating REAL sweet potatoes. (As many of you know, Gerber's sweet potatoes are the ONLY kind of food that Dylan seems to enjoy.) We were excited to give him the real thing.

Drum roll please......

Here, you see the "gag reflex" in action:

I will spare you the next few scenes, but let's just say that it let to outfit #4 for the day: his PJ's.

It was an eventful, but very good, day. Isn't it great that we have a holiday that revolves around giving thanks? Such a great reminder that God calls us to have that attitude continually and daily. "I will sing to the Lord, for He has been good to me." Psalm 13:6

Pre-Thanksgiving Lunch

Dylan and I met my aunt Kathy and cousins Tonya, Tammy and her son Carter for lunch yesterday in Evanston. So good to be with family!

Russ and Sharryn's 45th

Russ and Sharryn celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary last Sunday! We took them out to dinner at Lawry's, and as a surprise Marty flew in and met them at the restaurant. They were shocked! It was a very fun night of reminiscing and celebrating.

Check out his chin. Must have been
all that Halloween candy he ate. :)

A Day At The.....

PARK

ZOO

With friends Amri, Asher and Traci.

First Halloween

Dylan was a cow for his first Halloween. We had so much fun! The Andersonville neighborhood we went trick-or-treating in really gets into it, with house decorations and even the adults dressing up. And the weather was just perfect. Dylan liked shaking the mini-bags of candy he got, and staring at the kids in their costumes.

Dylan's "First Show"

Marc's post-nap routine with Dylan is to put on a Grateful Dead video, and dance to it together. Dylan loves it!
